There are 2 ports of entry:

Gongbei border (via Macau ) office hours: 8:00am-10:00pm

Jiuzhou border (via boat) office hours: 8:30am-7:00pm

Most foreigners can apply, on arrival, for a tourist visa (L visa) at these points of entry. You will need your passport, one passport picture and RMB. (see below). However, citizens of some countries cannot get a visa at the border. Citizens of other countries may get a tourist visa but must supply evidence of sufficient funds for their stay in China , minimum US$100 a day . You should therefore check with your local Chinese Consulate to determine what the requirements are for you.

Applying for a tourist Visa (L Visa) at the ports of entry: (See price list below.)

1. Fill out a tourist visa application at the border. Hand it in with one passport picture.

2. You need about 1 hour to complete the process.

How to apply for a multiple entries, half-year Business visa (F visa). (See price list below.)

There are two ways to make an application:

1. You can apply at the Gongbei border between Macau and Zhuhai.

a) Fill in the application form at the border.

b) Supply two passport pictures

Note 1: Citizens from some countries cannot apply for an F visa. Check with your local Chinese Consulate.

Note 2: The F visa is for doing business in China . It is not legal to be employed by a company with an F visa.
